Sara Duodji - Wool boots "kartanker"

With high-quality wool boots (kartanker in norwegian) from the small family business Sara Duodji AS in Karasjok, we can almost guarantee that you will never get cold feet again.

The kartanks are made of 100% Norwegian sheep wool and felted with green soap. The Norwegian Armed Forces also use these. High kartanks are thick with a height of about 33cm. By wearing these in boots you have perfect footwear for many hours outdoors when it is freezing. If you still get cold on your feet you can put in the nevers insole, which we also sell in our online store. They are also good to have inside the tent or on the sofa at the cabin.

 All kartanks are handmade and therefore no pair will be the same. The product pictured is one of all unique pairs produced, so if you do not receive such a pair, that is why.

 Duodji is traditional Sami handicraft and art. Duodji describes both the act of creating something and the thing that is made. Duodji largely uses natural materials to make various objects.
 Reindeer were widely used for duodji, as the tradition is to use all parts of the animal.
